Located in the heart of Menlo Park, in one of the most prestigious neighborhoods, this residence is a true eye candy. The couple purchased this home and wanted to renovate before moving in. That is how they came to TBS. The idea was to create warm and cozy yet very specious and functional kitchen/dining and family room area, renovate and upgrade master bathroom with another powder room and finish with whole house repainting. TBS designers were inspired with family’s way of spending time together and entertaining. Taking their vision and desires into consideration house was transformed the way homeowners have imagined it would be. The classic modern design of this kitchen was planned for an active young family of four who uses the space as their central hub for gathering, eating and staying connected. Our goals were to create a beautiful and highly functional kitchen with an emphasis on cabinet organization, heated floors and incorporating a live edge slab countertop. We removed an existing bulky island and replaced it with a new island that while only 60 x 26 in size packs a powerful punch housing a baking center, trash/recycle center, microwave oven and cookbook storage. The island seemed the natural place for the gorgeous live edge slab coupled with vintage mercury glass light pendants that make for a truly stunning kitchen island. Polished carrara quartz perimeter counters pair beautifully with the watery blue-green glass backsplash tile. A message center conveniently located on a side panel of the refrigerator cabinet houses built in mailboxes, a family calendar and magnetic surface to display the children’s artwork. Двухкомнатная квартира площадью 84 кв м располагается на первом этаже ЖК Сколково Парк. Проект квартиры разрабатывался с прицелом на продажу, основой концепции стало желание разработать яркий, но при этом ненавязчивый образ, при минимальном бюджете. За основу взяли скандинавский стиль, в сочетании с неожиданными декоративными элементами. С другой стороны, хотелось использовать большую часть мебели и предметов интерьера отечественных дизайнеров, а что не получалось подобрать - сделать по собственным эскизам. Единственный брендовый предмет мебели - обеденный стол от фабрики Busatto, до этого пылившийся в гараже у хозяев. Он задал тему дерева, которую мы поддержали фанерным шкафом (все секции открываются) и стенкой в гостиной с замаскированной дверью в спальню - произведено по нашим эскизам мастером из Петербурга. This kitchen was very 1980s and the homeowners were ready for a change. As amateur chefs, they had a lot of requests and appliances to accommodate but we were up for the challenge. Taking the kitchen back down to the studs, we began to open up their kitchen while providing them plenty of storage to conceal their bulk storage and many small appliances. Replacing their existing refrigerator with a panel-ready column refrigerator and freezer, helped keep the sleek look of the cabinets without being disrupted by appliances. The vacuum sealer drawer is an integrated part as well, hidden by the matching cabinet drawer front. Even the beverage cooler has a door that matches the cabinetry of the island. The stainless, professional-grade gas range stands out amongst the white cabinets and its brass touches match the cabinet hardware, faucet, pot-filler, and veining through the quartzite. The show-stopper of this kitchen is this amazing book-matched quartzite with its deep blues and brass veining and this incredible sink that was created out of it as well, to continue the continuity of this kitchen. The enormous island is covered with the same stone but with the dark wood, it provides a dramatic flair. The mercury glass pendants, do not distract but complete the look. This apartment kitchen remodel includes new quartzite countertops, Modern ash wood cabinetry, and brass fixtures. A blue ceramic subway tile backsplash adds a sense of place. A wood beam open shelf helps draw the warm color of the douglas fir wood floor up onto the vertical plane of the room.

A modern contemporary kitchen remodel with mid-century modern influences. The eye catching exposed beams are complemented by a large island with panels capping the quartz counter top, which is a common mid-century design feature. The custom glass tile backsplash makes a statement, as do the pops of cobalt blue and the contemporary glass pendant lights.

This Coffee station was a request of the homeowner. We also made room for a basic microwave to be concealed behind the cabinet doors. Drawers below house the coffee supplies while the cup are stored up above.

New Modern Lake House: Located on beautiful Glen Lake, this home was designed especially for its environment with large windows maximizing the view toward the lake. The lower awning windows allow lake breezes in, while clerestory windows and skylights bring light in from the south. A back porch and screened porch with a grill and commercial hood provide multiple opportunities to enjoy the setting. Michigan stone forms a band around the base with blue stone paving on each porch. Every room echoes the lake setting with shades of blue and green and contemporary wood veneer cabinetry.
