Grab a book and get settled into this cozy reading nook. An otherwise unused attic space was converted into a reading room and home office for the owner. Although collected and eclectic, this room became a fast favorite for relaxing on a lazy afternoon.

Este proyecto de Homestaging fue especial por muchos motivos. En primer lugar porque contábamos con un diamante en bruto: un duplex de dos habitaciones con muchísimo encanto, dos plantas comunicadas en altura, la segunda de ellas abuhardillada con techos de madera y un espacio diáfano con muchísimas posibilidades y sobre todo por estar en el centro de San Lorenzo de Es Escorial, un lugar mágico, rodeado de edificios singulares llenos de color. Sin duda sus vistas desde el balcón y la luz que entraba por sus inmensos ventanales de techo a suelo eran su punto fuerte, pero necesitaba una pequeña reforma después de haber estado alquilado muchos años, aunque la cocina integrada en el salón sí estaba reformada. Los azulejos del baño de la primera planta se pintaron de un verde suave y relajado, se cambiaron sanitarios y grifería y se colocó un espejo singular encontrado en un mercado de segunda mano y restaurado. Se pintó toda la vivienda de un blanco crema suave, asimismo se pintó de blanco la carpintería de madera y las vigas metálicas para potenciar la sensación de amplitud Se realizaron todas aquellas pequeñas reparaciones para poner la vivienda en óptimo estado de funcionamiento, se cambiaron ventanas velux y se reforzó el aislamiento. En la segunda planta cambiamos el suelo de gres por una tarima laminada en tono gris claro resistente al agua y se cambió el suelo del baño por un suelo vinílico con un resultado espectacular Y para poner la guinda del pastel se realizó un estudio del espacio para realizar un homestaging de amueblamiento y decoración combinando muebles de cartón y normales más fotografía inmobiliaria para destacar el potencial de la vivienda y enseñar sus posibles usos que naturalmente, son propuestas para que luego el inquilino haga suya su casa y la adapte a su modo de vida. Todas las personas que visitaron la vivienda agradecieron en contar con el homestaging para hacerse una idea de como podría ser su vida allí

Our client had a 1930’s two car garage and a dream. He wanted a private light filled home office, enough space to have friends over to watch the game, storage for his record collection and a place to listen to music on the most impressive stereo we’ve ever seen. So we took on the challenge to design the ultimate man cave: we peeled away layers of the wall and folded them into casework - a workstation with drawers, record shelving with storage below for less aesthetic items, a credenza with a coffee setup and requisite bourbon collection, and a cabinet devoted to cleaning and preserving records. We peeled up the roof as well creating a new entry and views out into the bucolic garden. The addition of a full bathroom and comfy couch make this the perfect place to chill…with or without Netflix.

The NotShed is an economical solution to the need for high quality home office space. Designed as an accessory structure to compliment the primary residence.

Industrial lighting, carved wood accents, warm neutrals, travel photography and souvenirs, and antique furniture pieces come together to create a boho-styled home office area, repurposing many of the existing furnishings that had been in this former dining room. A mirror hung high on the wall reflects the light and color from the adjacent playroom. The desk was created from a salvaged door. Open, but tucked-away, storage space was created from a repurposed bar cart, and antique sideboards store office supplies. An open area was left in the middle of the room for taking periodic yoga breaks, or pulling up the corner chair to watch some tv. Custom curtains and a punched-metal star lantern bring rich texture and pattern, while providing light-filtering privacy. Canvas art print, frames, and corner shelving from World Market.
