Home gym/yoga studio with indestructible materials. Leads to the ground floor outdoor living room and into separate his and hers garages. Just outside the door is the Ocean and an outdoor shower. True serenity.

This Jersey City, NJ space was the first permanent ‘home’ for the yoga studio, so it was essential for us to listen well and design a space to serve their needs for years to come. Through our design process, we helped to guide the owners through the fit-out of their new studio location that required minimal demolition and disruption to the existing space. Together, we converted a space originally used as a preschool into a welcoming, spacious yoga studio for local yogis. We created one main yoga studio by combining four small classrooms into a single larger space with new walls, while all the other program spaces (including designated areas for holistic treatments, massage, and bodywork) were accommodated into pre-existing rooms. Our team completed all demo, sheetrock, electrical, and painting aspects of the project. (The studio owners did some of the work themselves, and a different company installed the flooring and carpets.) A meditation/yoga room. Lots of floor space and a soft rug are perfect for yoga for one or two people. The carved red architectural artifacts on the wall flank a table of tribal artifacts picked up on our client's travels.

This space was created as a dance studio for this client and was part of a larger master suite addition, which overlooks beautifully landscaped gardens. "We found Kerry at TaylorPro early on in our decision process. He was the only contractor to give us a detailed budgetary bid for are original vision of our addition. This level of detail was ultimately the decision factor for us to go with TaylorPro. Throughout the design process the communication was thorough, we knew exactly what was happening and didn’t feel like we were in the dark. Construction was well run and their attention to detail was a predominate character of Kerry and his team.
