The cabinetry are made locally with FSC wood, non-toxic finishes and knobs (which look like ivory) made from renewable Tagua nut. The counters are recycled marble and the facade of the desk is natural shell laminate. The curtains are made by fair trade artisans from silk and the floor is formaldehyde-free bamboo. The walls are reclaimed wood from an Amish barn built in the 1800s. It is decorated with more of the natural shell laminate at chair rail height.

This rugged Georgian Bay beauty is a five bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home custom build by Tamarack North. Featured in the entry way of this home is a large open concept entry with a timber frame ceiling. Seamlessly flowing into the living room are tall ceilings, a gorgeous view of Georgian bay and a large stone fireplace all with components that play on the tones of the outdoors, connecting you with nature. Just off the modern kitchen is a master suite that contains both a gym and office area with a view of the water making for a peaceful and productive atmosphere. Carrying into the master bedroom is a timber frame ceiling identical to the entry way as well as folding doors that walkout onto a stone patio and a hot tub. A home gym fitted out with a bamboo wood floor. The room was designed for hot yoga and has its own humidifier unit and ultra-silent exhaust system. Special moisture resistant drywall and vapor barriers behind the wall were installed to prevent moisture and heat from traveling into the rest of the house.

A sauna off of a workout room will certainly make long Wisconsin winters more bearable.

Nice, open space for a home gym. Bamboo printed resilient flooring comprised of interlocking squares. Includes a weight bench, free weights, towels, yoga mats and a foam roller. The walls were left white for a light feel and for an unobstructed view of form in the mirror opposite.
