Both of these houses were on the Cool House Tour of 2008. They were newly constructed homes, designed to fit into their spot in the neighborhood and to optimize energy efficiency. This three-story vacation home for a family of ski enthusiasts features 5 bedrooms and a six-bed bunk room, 5 1/2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, great room, 2 wet bars, great room, exercise room, basement game room, office, mud room, ski work room, decks, stone patio with sunken hot tub, garage, and elevator. The home sits into an extremely steep, half-acre lot that shares a property line with a ski resort and allows for ski-in, ski-out access to the mountain’s 61 trails. This unique location and challenging terrain informed the home’s siting, footprint, program, design, interior design, finishes, and custom made furniture. Our studio’s designs for this luxury new-build home in Zionsville’s Holliday Farms country club reflects the client’s personality. Comfortable furnishings and a lightly textured fur bench add coziness to the bedroom, while beautiful wood tables and stunning lamps add a natural, organic vibe. In the formal living room, a grand stone-clad fireplace facing the furniture provides an attractive focal point. This outdoor bar great for your next pool party! On the Florida coast we deal with salty air that can rust outdoor grills quickly. In this design we built the cabinetry around the space you would typically have for a built in grill but this one is completely free-standing.
