Auch im ehemaligen Wohnzimmer wurden die alten Dielenböden freigelegt. Hier befindet sich nun die neue Küche. Neue Elektrik und Heizkörper, sowie Fenster mit elektrischen Rollläden installiert. Die Küche besticht durch einen modernen Landhausstil. Die Fliesen im Fliesenspiegel wurden im Flur nochmals mit aufgegriffen, so dass hier ein ganzheitliches Bild entstanden ist. Eine rustikale, mobile Kücheninsel wird dem Layout noch hinzugefügt. Weitere Bilder folgen nach kompletter Fertigstellung, da hier noch Malerarbeiten zu leisten sind und die Installation der Lampen aussteht.

There are a couple of other interesting elements that make this IKEA kitchen unique. One element was pre-existing and the other was an addition. “The kitchen had a U-shape before we remodeled and I didn’t really want to keep it – but that’s what best fit the space,” she says. “There wasn’t enough room to do an island without having a good triangle flow for cooking.” She concludes: “We also wanted to bring a warm wood element into our design and we did that with both our custom hood as well as our floating shelf above the adjacent coffee area. The custom vent hood was actually created onsite by our carpenters using leftover Baroque Forli European Oak Hardwood that is featured on our flooring.”

From traditional to shaker style cabinets, new dove white quartz counter-tops and beveled gray to ceiling back splash with snow white grout for contrast. Hidden trash and spice rack pullouts with functional Lazy Susan for hard to reach corner and dual side access storage island with waterfall quartz counter-top and electrical outlets. Rounded pantry shelves for easier access to high to reach areas. Farmhouse sink with large under storage drawer with appearance of dual door cabinet to maximize cleaning supply accessibility and cleanliness. Extended refrigerator cabinet with shaker end panels and upper storage beside a mini dry-bar area with glass upper cabinet doors to showcase glassware. Stainless steel hood between finished shaker end panel upper cabinets. Three size black modern pulls for drawers and doors to match our client's taste. Finished with a lighter tone of paint to contrast the kitchen/dining area from the living space and finally upgraded the old chandelier to a modern sputnik style light fixture.

The farmhouse kitchen design has been popular for years. Who doesn’t love the downhome feel of a rustic and cozy space? This Pennsylvania family’s kitchen exemplifies everything wonderful about this style. Their kitchen has an allure that draws you in and details that invite you to stay. Tearing out the old, outdated cabinets and replacing them with custom updates was the way to go. While they loved the classic farmhouse style, they were seeking a cabinet door design that would stand the test of time. White Shaker on the perimeter cabinets and Colonial Blue cabinetry on the island, making a beautiful distinction from the white perimeter. The client wanted a kitchen that created a warm and cozy feeling where family and friends would feel right at home. She sought a kitchen that was of the highest quality cabinetry and a designer that would really listen to her needs and wants. The Pewter glaze overtones on the cherry wood tie in with the distressed gray island; the Silestone Quartz Soapstone around the perimeter provides a neutral background, while the island has a more dramatic polished granite with cream, rose and brown tones to become a beautiful centerpiece. The cabinets are heavily detailed with beaded sides and backs, inset doors, chamfered corners wherever possible, toe valances and applied mouldings around the entire base to add a rich, handcrafted look. The heights of the cabinets vary to reduce uniformity, adding to the casual charm. An apron front sink also contributes to the country look. The desk is particularly fanciful with it’s mullion doors, French Country open shelves with beaded sides and back, curved and beaded valance and drawer with multiple drawerheads / applied molding. We also incorporated doors that come all the way to the counter to hide the usual home office clutter. The lower part of the desk includes many drawers of various sizes and even a special locking file drawer. The beautiful dark gray island boasts French Country open shelves with arched and beaded valances, a fluting detail on each corner of the cookbook shelves, toe details, lots of beadboard, and a variety of storage options for cooking utensils, pans, and serving dishes.
