Design Dilemma: Our clients needed a place to store their beautiful bass and their extensive collection of books and records. Solution - We transformed this unused corner in the great room into a beautiful and functional storage space. Using a subtle instrument rack so the client could easily remove the bass to play, we were able to showcase the bass as a work of art and make it a focal point in the space. The great room opens out to the beautiful back terrace and pool Much of the furniture in this room was custom designed. We designed the bookcase and fireplace mantel, as well as the trim profile for the coffered ceiling.

One large gathering space was created by removing the wall and combining the living and family rooms. The Colonial-style fireplace was transformed into a Pinterest-worthy feature by removing an adjoining closet, and adding a custom mantel and floating shelves. The shiplap treated wall pops with a coat of Glidden "Puddle Jumper."

The painted Nantucket beadboard ceiling creates a sharp contrast with richly-stained cherry paneling, fireplace surround, cabinetry and curved beams.

Wohnzimmer Pankow Der Raum in der Altbauwohnung sollte modern sein und gleichzeitig eine gemütliche Atmosphäre transportieren. Die dunkelblaue, seidig glänzende Latexfarbe dominiert den Raum und verleiht dem Bild und den Möbeln eine intensive Wirkung. Die Einrichtung im reduzierten, skandinavischen Stil entspricht dem modernen Zeitgeist und lädt zum entspannen ein. Die grosse Pflanze sorgt für ein herrliches Raumklima und die leichten, luftigen Vorhänge runden den Raum zu einem wahren Wohlfühlort zum durchatmen ab.

This classical library is a mix of historic architectural features and refreshing contemporary finishes. the brick fireplace is original to the 1907 construction while the majority of the millwork was added during the renovation.

2018 DESIGN OVATION HONORABLE MENTION/ TRADITIONAL LIVING ROOM. Years after a major remodel, this couple contacted the designer as they had for 25 yrs to work with the contractor to create this Living Area Addition. To warm up the room and bring the ceiling down, the designer recommended the use of wood planks on the ceiling, along with 2 large-scale iron chandeliers. The double row of windows brings the outdoors in, providing wonderful daylight. The wall space above the opening to the adjacent Library was the perfect location for canvas panels inspired by the wife’s favorite Japanese artwork and commissioned by the designer with a local artist. The room provides plenty of seating for watching TV, reading or conversation. The open space between the sofa table and library allows room for the client to explore her heritage through Japanese Sword practicing or her Ikebana creations using their landscape. Our clients needed a small dining table only for special occasions. They had a brilliant idea to create a pedestal coffee table for every day use that could be transformed into a dining table. By adding two half-circle shaped leaves and raising the steel swivel base to the right height, the coffee table becomes a dining table for four. The great room opens out to the beautiful back terrace and pool and is adjacent to the kitchen and breakfast room. I love the trim details down the long hallway behind the kitchen. We designed the trim for this hallway and the coffered ceiling.

The Billiards room of the home is the central room on the east side of the house, connecting the office, bar, and study together.
