Un pouf en tissus greige servant de rangement et pouvant être déplacé rapidement en fonction du nombre de convive et du besoin ; une suspension originale et artisanale en forme de Yourte et en feutrine pour de l'originalité et accentuer cette sensation douce et de cocon , suspendue au dessus des tables gigognes et du tapis blanc crème tout doux imitation laine. Un coin musique avec le piano noir, amorti par un tapis naturel en jute ; une entrée de la pièce géométrique crée par un jeu de peinture cubique en vert pour créer du volume supplémentaire

Projet d'agencement d'un appartement des années 70. L'objectif était d'optimiser et sublimer les espaces en créant des meubles menuisés. On commence par le salon avec son meuble TV / bibliothèque.

Client hired Morse Remodeling to design and construct this newly purchased home with large lot so that they could move their family with young children in. It was a full gut, addition and entire renovation of this 1960's ranch style home. The house is situated in a neighborhood which has seen many whole house upgrades and renovations. The original plan consisted of a living room, family room, and galley kitchen. These were all renovated and combined into one large open great room. A master suite addition was added to the back of the home behind the garage. A full service laundry room was added near the garage with a large walk in pantry near the kitchen. Cette rénovation a été conçue et exécutée avec l'architecte Charlotte Petit de l'agence Argia Architecture. Nos clients habitaient auparavant dans un immeuble années 30 qui possédait un certain charme avec ses moulures et son parquet d'époque. Leur nouveau foyer, situé dans un immeuble des années 2000, ne jouissait pas du même style singulier mais possédait un beau potentiel à exploiter. Les challenges principaux étaient 1) Lui donner du caractère et le moderniser 2) Réorganiser certaines fonctions pour mieux orienter les pièces à vivre vers la terrasse. Auparavant l'entrée donnait sur une grande pièce qui servait de salon avec une petite cuisine fermée. Ce salon ouvrait sur une terrasse et une partie servait de circulation pour accéder aux chambres. A présent, l'entrée se prolonge à travers un élégant couloir vitré permettant de séparer les espaces de jour et de nuit tout en créant une jolie perspective sur la bibliothèque du salon. La chambre parentale qui se trouvait au bout du salon a été basculée dans cet espace. A la place, une cuisine audacieuse s'ouvre sur le salon et la terrasse, donnant une toute autre aura aux pièces de vie. Des lignes noires graphiques viennent structurer l'esthétique des pièces principales. On les retrouve dans la verrière du couloir dont les lignes droites sont adoucies par le papier peint végétal Añanbo. Autre exemple : cet exceptionnel tracé qui parcourt le sol et le mur entre la cuisine et le salon. Lorsque nous avons changé l'ancienne chambre en cuisine, la cloison de cette première a été supprimée. Cette suppression a laissé un espace entre les deux parquets en point de Hongrie. Nous avons décidé d'y apposer une signature originale noire très graphique en zelliges noirs. Ceci permet de réunir les pièces tout en faisant écho au noir de la verrière du couloir et le zellige de la cuisine.

This serene family room was designed with traditional elegance and sensibility in mind. The client loves the color green and wanted to create an inviting space that could withstand everyday activities. We achieved this look starting with new plush carpeting. Framing the windows are contrasting drapery panels in soft green ikat linen and cream linen, hung with antique pewter medallions. On either side of the fireplace are "His" and "Hers" recliners that tie into the pewter, neutral, and green color scheme. The custom sectional sofa is made with high performance fabric to combat the occasional spills; accent pillows were made with fabrics used on the ottoman and recliner. The result is an effortless and relaxing atmosphere with ample seating for the family and their guests.

This family room was updated by removing the old knotty pine and replacing it with wallboard around the glass shelving area, with Stikwood over the the fireplace. The custom simple surround and live-edge big leaf maple mantel complete the update. The sloped ceiling was painted the same color as the walls using a soft green both as a nod to nature and the client's down-to-earth nature.
