This charming little house is located in Georgia right next to the railroad tracks. Because of all the soot from the locomotives passing by, the house needs frequent power washing. The homeowner not only wants dark colors to not show the dirt but also wants to match a rug with her favorite colors. The rug, as shown in the after photo, is a southwestern rug with warm rich colors. Coincidentally these colors are also historically accurate for this house. The homeowner was very happy to have her favorite colors displayed on her house in such a nice way until her parents came to visit. The parents manipulated her to repaint using the current yellow and white colors. They did this by offering to pay for the paint job and occasional power washing. A sad ending to some real nice colors.

The HingeHouse, designed by Maryann Thompson Architects and fabricated by Acorn Deck House Company, is open and flexible. The wings of the home are customizable based on need and connected by a central “hinge,” which essentially becomes an outdoor living space. The featured HingeHouse has two wings of living space and a hinge that includes an outdoor fireplace and sitting area.

Front of North Caulfield project - considerable work was done to reappoint brickwork and garden space, original features were retained and restored. Veranda tiles were reappointed and brickwork paving was extended and redesigned. This is a good example of Victorian later period row houses architecture. Both the job and the clients were a rewarding experience.

愛媛県の久万高原の杉を９０％以上使用した住宅。伐採ツアーで伐採した杉を使用。自然乾燥させ粘り強い架構を実現。軒の深い佇まいとし、屋内と庭が緩やかに繋がる設計とした。南北に開口部を設け「光」と「風」が住宅に心地よく入る間取りとしている。バリアフリー住宅の仕様で素材を活かした内装としている。床も３０ｍｍの杉板、壁は真壁、勾配天井には杉板を設置し、気密性の高い省エネ住宅としつつも、吸湿効果の高い住宅としている。内部の建具はすべて造作の木製建具とし、使いやすいようにすべての開口部を幅の広めな引戸とした。
