The entry, finished in shiplap, asserts soaring ceilings and beautiful tile flooring that transports you to an additional living room adjoined to two king bedrooms with ensuite baths.

Completed in 2006, the home is magnificently appointed with traditional appeal and classic elegance surrounding a vast center terrace that accommodates indoor/outdoor living so easily. Distressed walnut floors span the main living areas, numerous rooms are accented with a bowed wall of windows, and ceilings are architecturally interesting and unique. There are 4 additional upstairs bedroom suites with the convenience of a second family room, plus a fully equipped guest house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Equally impressive are the resort-inspired grounds, which include a beautiful pool and spa just beyond the center terrace and all finished in Connecticut bluestone. This house underwent an extensive renovation where the space under roof doubled in size. This left the clients unsure how to furnish and decorate these spaces and define zones. We used many pieces they had collected when they lived overseas and added new pieces to create an eclectic style.

Restoring 100 years old plus door and wooden sash windows is a big task. It requires skill, knowledge, good product use, and some specialist training. As a passionate owner and operator at Mi Decor, I just love this type of work. it is touching history and making this work lats for a generation. From sanding, wood, and masonry repair to epoxy resin installation and hand-painted finish in high gloss.

Combining exquisite artwork, bespoke artisanship, and elegant touches to create a functional and dog-friendly home was a challenge we embraced. We incorporated fine performance fabrics that look and feel opulent, ensuring this Stuart home seamlessly transitions from the beautiful indoors to the lovely sculpture gardens.
