Our clients desired a stylish, modern aesthetic with timeless elements to create balance throughout their home. With our clients intention in mind, we achieved an open concept floor plan complimented by an eye-catching open riser staircase. Custom designed features are showcased throughout, combined with glass and stone elements, subtle wood tones, and hand selected finishes. The entire home was designed with purpose and styled with carefully curated furnishings and decor that ties these complimenting elements together to achieve the end goal. At Avid Interior Design, our goal is to always take a highly conscious, detailed approach with our clients. With that focus for our Altadore project, we were able to create the desirable balance between timeless and modern, to make one more dream come true.

This bright mudroom has a beadboard ceiling and a black slate floor. We used trim, or moulding, on the walls to create a paneled look, and cubbies above the window seat. Shelves, the window seat bench and coat hooks provide storage. The main projects in this Wayne, PA home were renovating the kitchen and the master bathroom, but we also updated the mudroom and the dining room. Using different materials and textures in light colors, we opened up and brightened this lovely home giving it an overall light and airy feel. Interior Designer Larina Kase, of Wayne, PA, used furniture and accent pieces in bright or contrasting colors that really shine against the light, neutral colored palettes in each room. Rudloff Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016, 2017 and 2019. 玄関は家族やゲストを迎え入れ、見送る大切なスペース。「家の顔」と言われるとおり、玄関は家全体の印象を決めるだけなく、防犯、断熱、採光、収納など、さまざまな役割を担います。小さいスペースながら、ドア、下駄箱、収納などの設備をはじめ、玄関アプローチ、玄関ポーチ、玄関ホールといった内観から外観に渡る空間まで、玄関リフォームにはたくさんの選択肢があります。ご家庭のライフスタイルやニーズに合わせて、納得のいく玄関周りに仕上げましょう。

玄関ドアをリフォームする

玄関ドアは、玄関スペースの中で最も重要な箇所。予算が限られている場合でも、古くなったドアを塗り替えるだけでグッと印象が変わります。また、リフォーム用にデザインされたドアを活用すれば、工期や費用を抑えつつ、デザイン性、機能性ともに充実した玄関リフォームを実現することが可能です。また、ガラスドアで太陽光を取り入れると、玄関スペースを明るく演出することができます。玄関網戸は、室内の風通しをよくし、エアコンや扇風機の電気代が節約でき、虫よけ、結露対策に効果を発揮します。

玄関の空間を有効利用して収納力アップ！

狭い玄関でも空間を工夫して収納力をアップすれば、スペースにゆとりがうまれ、余裕のある豊かな暮らしを実感することができます。レインシューズやブーツなど場所を取る履物は、間仕切りの自由度の高いシューズボックスを選択し上手に収納しましょう。長さや色、デザインが異なる傘も、傘立てにまとめて入れれば、スッキリと整理することができます。また、壁と柱の間のスペースを使って、絵画を飾る棚や照明を設置するスペースを確保すれば、玄関スペースがバッと華やかになります。

玄関の使いやすさと安全性は妥協しない

高齢化社会を迎える日本にとって、住宅のバリアフリー化は重要な課題です。玄関エリアに段差をなくし緩やかなスロープを設置すれば、車椅子でも簡単に、そして安全に出入りすることが可能になります。スロープを設けるスペースがない場合は、階段昇降機で対応することも可能です。手すりは、車椅子に乗る人用とその他の家族用の2種類を設置しましょう。玄関に車椅子用の収納スペースを確保すると、外出準備が一箇所にまとまるので便利です。
