This colonial home in Penn Valley, PA, needed a complete interior renovation. Working closely with the owners, we renovated all three floors plus the basement. Now the house is bright and light, featuring open layouts, loads of natural light, and a clean design maximizing family living areas. Highlights include: - creating a guest suite in the third floor/attic - installing custom millwork and moulding in the curved staircase and foyer - creating a stunning, contemporary kitchen, with marble counter tops, white subway tile back splash, and an eating nook. This magnificent European style estate located in Mira Vista Country Club has a beautiful panoramic view of a private lake. The exterior features sandstone walls and columns with stucco and cast stone accents, a beautiful swimming pool overlooking the lake, and an outdoor living area and kitchen for entertaining. The interior features a grand foyer with an elegant stairway with limestone steps, columns and flooring. The gourmet kitchen includes a stone oven enclosure with 48” Viking chef’s oven. This home is handsomely detailed with custom woodwork, two story library with wooden spiral staircase, and an elegant master bedroom and bath. The home was design by Fred Parker, and building designer Richard Berry of the Fred Parker design Group. The Client was looking for a lot of daily useful storage, but was also looking for an open entryway. The design combined seating and a variety of Custom Cabinetry to allow for storage of shoes, handbags, coats, hats, and gloves. The two drawer cabinet was designed with a balanced drawer layout, however inside is an additional pullout drawer to store/charge devices. We also incorporated a much needed kennel space for the new puppy, which was integrated into the lower portion of the new Custom Cabinetry Coat Closet. Completing the rooms functional storage was a tall utility cabinet to house the vacuum, mops, and buckets. The finishing touch was the 2/3 glass side entry door allowing plenty of natural light in, but also high enough to keep the dog from leaving nose prints on the glass.

The grand entrance into the home with a custom cut tile inlay and one-of-a-kind artwork to complete the space. The walls are finished with a molding to reiterate the elegance throughout the home and this ceiling has custom details with a large chandelier to maximize the 2-storey height.

Entry for a Luxury Beach House. Function should be the core of all designs. This small Foyer features a coat and shoe drop-off at the front door. Our custom floating shelf and bench is both practical and unobtrusive. Large mirrors are for self checks, while distributing light throughout the space and adding an illusion of more space.

Today’s basements are much more than dark, dingy spaces or rec rooms of years ago. Because homeowners are spending more time in them, basements have evolved into lower-levels with distinctive spaces, complete with stone and marble fireplaces, sitting areas, coffee and wine bars, home theaters, over sized guest suites and bathrooms that rival some of the most luxurious resort accommodations. Gracing the lakeshore of Lake Beulah, this homes lower-level presents a beautiful opening to the deck and offers dynamic lake views. To take advantage of the home’s placement, the homeowner wanted to enhance the lower-level and provide a more rustic feel to match the home’s main level, while making the space more functional for boating equipment and easy access to the pier and lakefront. Jeff Auberger designed a seating area to transform into a theater room with a touch of a button. A hidden screen descends from the ceiling, offering a perfect place to relax after a day on the lake. Our team worked with a local company that supplies reclaimed barn board to add to the decor and finish off the new space. Using salvaged wood from a corn crib located in nearby Delavan, Jeff designed a charming area near the patio door that features two closets behind sliding barn doors and a bench nestled between the closets, providing an ideal spot to hang wet towels and store flip flops after a day of boating. The reclaimed barn board was also incorporated into built-in shelving alongside the fireplace and an accent wall in the updated kitchenette. Lastly the children in this home are fans of the Harry Potter book series, so naturally, there was a Harry Potter themed cupboard under the stairs created. This cozy reading nook features Hogwartz banners and wizarding wands that would amaze any fan of the book series.
