Mudroom Cabinets were custom designed by Jessica McAllister of Kountry Kraft for a transitional style entryway in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. The cabinets are crafted in Penn Line style out of Red Oak wood and finished in Gray Wolf 25° stain color. Across the top and bottom of the cabinets are storage units for hats, gloves and shoes. Antique pewter hooks from Top Knobs provide the perfect place to hang coats and bags. This mudroom cabinet system also includes a bench for sitting while putting on your shoes. Mudroom cabinets help keep clutter the kitchen and living areas clean because they create a dedicated space for the items that are typically taken off and put on when entering or exiting the house.

What started as a kitchen remodeling project turned into a large interior renovation of the entire first floor of the home. As design got underway for a new kitchen, the homeowners quickly decided to update the entire first floor to match the new open kitchen. The kitchen was updated with new appliances, countertops, and Fieldstone cabinetry. Fieldstone Cabinetry was also added in the laundry room to allow for more storage space and a place to drop coats and shoes. The dining room was redecorated with wainscoting and a chandelier. The powder room was updated and the main staircase received a makeover as well. The living room fireplace surround was changed from brick to stone for a more elegant look.

EL CUBO ¿Y el cubo? ..."estaba, pero no se veía". Dos muros de carga gemelos, orientados en la misma dirección y paralelos entre sí, delimitan en planta casi un cuadrado perfecto. Aprovechamos esta particular geometría para unirlos revistiendo su perímetro con lamas verticales de madera de iroko, generando un único volumen. Bajamos el falso techo dentro del mismo para esconder instalaciones y enmarcamos así el paso. Exageramos aún más el concepto de “cubo atravesado por un pasadizo” utilizando el color naranja en todos los paramentos interiores del mismo. Se utiliza laca satinada en los muebles y en los tableros registrables del falso techo, y resina en el suelo casi de idéntico color, textura y brillo. Pero este cubo no sólo es un paso... Nuestro cliente, melómano, decide tener un espacio donde disponer de un "exquisito" equipo de música, desde donde poder amenizar la zona de estar. Es el sitio perfecto para ello. El cubo aloja gran capacidad de almacenamiento adosado a uno de los dos muros de carga. Por un lado, los armarios naranjas que se vinculan a la cabina, que incorporan ventilación para alojar en su interior los equipos de sonido. Por otro, en el contorno exterior del cubo se esconden piezas de mobiliario directamente relacionadas con la zona de comedor. Además, se diseña un cubre-radiador realizando un toquelado en parte del panelado, que aportará textura y conferirá al cubo una estética mejorada. This front door has matching side lights, all of which have stained leaded glass panels. CLPM project manager tip - reproduction door sets are available at all price points but it's a good idea to invest in the best door you can afford. A high quality door sets off a house to its best advantage.

Grasscloth wallpaper with a slight shimmer was added to the walls. An antique art deco mirror was hung a bove the bench by the front door. Metallic tea paper was added to the ceiling and I found the perfect lantern pendant. The room looks so polished and is a great first impression of the home.
