What designer could pass on the opportunity to buy a floating home like the one featured in the movie Sleepless in Seattle? Well, not this one! When I purchased this floating home from my aunt and uncle, I undertook a huge out-of-state remodel. Up for the challenge, I grabbed my water wings, sketchpad, & measuring tape. It was sink or swim for Patricia Lockwood to finish before the end of 2014. The big reveal for the finished houseboat on Sauvie Island will be in the summer of 2015 - so stay tuned.

Bristlecone HomesBristlecone Construction renovated the existing kitchen to reflect the personal style of the residence. The cabinets are all white. The kitchen island material is soapstone, the perimeter island is painted with Benjamin Moore Lead Grey and the subway backsplash is 3x6 white tiles.

Ola Jachymiak StudioThis Parisian apartment is defined by it’s intense and dark palette. Inspired by the owner, a Italian fashion designer, it combines flower patterns contrasting with natural textiles.
The same bold accents are carried throughout the entire place and it’s completed with black and white background (walls) to create a balance in the interior.
With 40 square meters, every detail was designed with precision, to ensure that all available space was properly utilized but also keeping a harmonic aesthetic.
Ada CatapanoNella cucina, la pavimentazione, in gres porcellanato, nasce dalla commistione di un prodotto industriale ed un intervento artigianale e si ispira alle forme trapezoidali dei marmi del Duomo di Napoli. Il bianco e il nero delle ceramiche e della cucina lineare (Ikea) sono in contrasto con i toni caldi del parquet, del legno delle sedute e del cuoio delle sedie Tonietta (di Enzo Mari). La scala in ferro che conduce al soppalco, preesistente, è stata ridipinta di bianco e nero, come le ringhiere che sono state semplicemente modificate eliminando i decori e lasciando l’essenziale.

Wayde Beckman DesignThis might be a small kitchen but it has a big attitude. It boasts ample drawer storage in the base cabinets topped by a surprising amount of bench space.
The L-shape / Galley style makes the most of the 1.9x3.7m floor space. Despite it's size, theres room for two to work in the kitchen.
A combination of Meteca Woodgrain panels and Trendstone benches provide a cost effective, durable finish. Luna subway tiles, recycled Matai shelves on metal pipe brackets extend the textural theme of the overall design.
To keep the noise down when cooking, we installed a Sirius rangehood with an efficient but (almost) silent exterior mounted motor.

Everything HomeEvery detail of this European villa-style home exudes a uniquely finished feel. Our design goals were to invoke a sense of travel while simultaneously cultivating a homely and inviting ambience. This project reflects our commitment to crafting spaces seamlessly blending luxury with functionality.
The kitchen was transformed with subtle adjustments to evoke a Parisian café atmosphere. A new island was crafted, featuring exquisite quartzite countertops complemented by a marble mosaic backsplash. Upgrades in plumbing and lighting fixtures were installed, imparting a touch of elegance. The newly introduced range hood included an elegant rustic header motif.
