A feminine space was developed for the lady of the house, who works from home. The large built-in bench doubles as a daybed and reading spot.

Layers of family heirlooms are paired with vintage finds and modern shapes of furniture for a unique and transitional touch. The Study takes on a much more natural approach creating a warm space conducive to reading and working from home. Custom roman shades and seat cushion tailored to the bay window provide a cozy nook for winding down.

This project shows how a small room can become a functional yet stylish home office. Finding the right size desk for its use and space is very important. We added shelving units for great storage and a place to showcase beautiful items, as well as a pull-out couch which provides a seating area or an extra bed for guests to sleep in. Historic homes offer many challenges, outdated wiring, plaster walls, and drafty windows. But the large rooms and gorgeous architectural details make it all worthwhile! This client envisioned this space as a home office and library but wanted color, color and more color! She requested the teal - I suggested the coral - and the results are anything but boring! Here is a wide angle view of the office with a large desk providing storage on both sides. The desk is big enough to accomadate all the stuff that us girls bring in with room for the bag, tea and some pretty decor. Functionally the drawers help keep her organized and the light from the windows give her a peak into the greenery from the yard beyond.

This room is primarily used as a hub for ideas for the owner's interiors blog, Seasonsincolour.com Featuring two IKEA MICKE desks side by side to create a longer work surface the space is big enough for two to work together if required.

MOTIF transformed a standard bedroom into this artful and inviting home office with the potential of being used a guest room when the occasion arises. Soft wall colors, a textured area rug, a built in desk are counterpoint to a cozy sofa bench -- which doubles as a twin bed or can be transformed into a queen bed by pulling the pieces apart and reconnecting them in another configuration. It is a surprising and unexpected room and is both functional and beautiful.

A chic, modern and minimalist home office was created in a corner of this studio with West Elm's peekaboo acrylic console table and cheetah print hide stool. Photography was taken by client with iphone and mixtiles app.

We chose this American Leather Comfort Sleeper sofa for its real queen-size mattress and no-bar-in-your-back bed mechanism. I had it re-covered in Lilly Pulitzer’s Besame Mucho fabric after Nacho finished destroying the original upholstery. Photo © Bethany Nauert

Le duplex du projet Nollet a charmé nos clients car, bien que désuet, il possédait un certain cachet. Ces derniers ont travaillé eux-mêmes sur le design pour révéler le potentiel de ce bien. Nos architectes les ont assistés sur tous les détails techniques de la conception et nos ouvriers ont exécuté les plans. Malheureusement le projet est arrivé au moment de la crise du Covid-19. Mais grâce au process et à l’expérience de notre agence, nous avons pu animer les discussions via WhatsApp pour finaliser la conception. Puis lors du chantier, nos clients recevaient tous les 2 jours des photos pour suivre son avancée. Nos experts ont mené à bien plusieurs menuiseries sur-mesure : telle l’imposante bibliothèque dans le salon, les longues étagères qui flottent au-dessus de la cuisine et les différents rangements que l’on trouve dans les niches et alcôves. Les parquets ont été poncés, les murs repeints à coup de Farrow and Ball sur des tons verts et bleus. Le vert décliné en Ash Grey, qu’on retrouve dans la salle de bain aux allures de vestiaire de gymnase, la chambre parentale ou le Studio Green qui revêt la bibliothèque. Pour le bleu, on citera pour exemple le Black Blue de la cuisine ou encore le bleu de Nimes pour la chambre d’enfant. Certaines cloisons ont été abattues comme celles qui enfermaient l’escalier. Ainsi cet escalier singulier semble être un élément à part entière de l’appartement, il peut recevoir toute la lumière et l’attention qu’il mérite !
