This tiny kitchen got a huge makeover and it is now incredibly functional. We took advantage of every inch of space, adding storage wherever possible. A small, hard to access pantry was moved to the front of the kitchen and lower cabinets now line the entire kitchen perimeter. Even the hard to reach lower corners have pull out lazy susan style cabinets. The lighting before was commercial and unappealing. We created a faux tray ceiling and added a modern fixture to compliment the recessed lighting. Quartz countertops, white subway tile and a faux marble floor keep the small space light. In the remodeled kitchen, the cooktop is positioned closer to the sink to provide an efficient work triangle. The decorative chimney hood and marble and stainless inset backsplash create a stunning focal point. GE Monogram appliances provide this avid cook with a chef style kitchen. Replacing their pantry closet area with new pantry cabinets with rollout shelves allow for increased functionality. The crisp, clean look of the custom white Medallion cabinets pop against the dark Pewter Maple hardwood floors. Jenny and David purchased their home in lockdown and really wanted to replace the tiny dated kitchen with something practical and safe around their toddler. Even though they would have liked a bigger kitchen they knew they would have to wait until they could afford a larger house. Knowing this was not going to be their forever home I advised that we give them a practical and usable kitchen that would increase the value of the property down the line and not break the bank with a high ticket-priced kitchen.
