Transforming key spaces in a home can really change the overall look and feel, especially in main living areas such as a kitchen or primary bathroom! Our goal was to create a bright, fresh, and timeless design in each space. We accomplished this by incorporating white cabinetry and by swapping out the small, seemingly useless island for a large and much more functional peninsula. And to transform the primary bathroom into a serene sanctuary, we incorporated a new open and spacious glass shower enclosure as well as a luxurious free-standing soaking tub, perfect for ultimate relaxation.

A new induction cooktop in the island replaced an electric one. The top of the island previously had blue ceramic tile and laminate countertops ran the perimeter. These were replaced by quartz tops in Coastal Gray. Photography by Chrissy Racho

For this kitchen remodeling project, the homeowners were looking to open up their kitchen and give it a more contemporary look. We removed the cabinets over the existing island to really open up the space. We next tore out all the existing cabinets to get the space ready for their new cabinets and island. For the kitchen cabinets, they went with an oak simple shaker door in a white color, while the island was done in an oak mission door in a cashew stain. To really make the kitchen stand out, they went with a quartz Vivalioro countertop with a waterfall edge for the island. To finish this new look, they chose a 4” x 6” arctic white matte backsplash, floating shelves and a farm sink. Now this is the dream kitchen they have been hoping for.

Our Seattle studio gave this dated family home a fabulous facelift with bright interiors, stylish furnishings, and thoughtful decor. We kept all the original interior doors but gave them a beautiful coat of paint and fitted stylish matte black hardware to provide them with that extra elegance. Painting the millwork a creamy light grey color created a fun, unique contrast against the white walls. We opened up walls to create a spacious great room, perfect for this family who loves to entertain. We reimagined the existing pantry as a wet bar, currently a hugely popular spot in the home. To create a seamless indoor-outdoor living space, we used NanaWall doors off the kitchen and living room, allowing our clients to have an open atmosphere in their backyard oasis and covered front deck. Heaters were also added to the front porch ensuring they could enjoy it during all seasons. We used durable furnishings throughout the home to accommodate the growing needs of their two small kids and two dogs. Neutral finishes, warm wood tones, and pops of color achieve a light and airy look reminiscent of the coastal appeal of Puget Sound – only a couple of blocks away from this home. Contemporary kitchen remodeling with blue stained cabinets in Old Town Alexandria VA. Wall between kitchen and dining area was removed to expand the kitchen. White engineered quartz and mosaic backsplash tiles and gray porcelain floor tiles contras with blue cabinetry.

New kitchen renovation in Clearwater, FL (Countryside area). Client's kitchen was original to the home and was in need of a refresh. We opened up the space by removing a dividing wall between the kitchen and living area to create a fresh feel in the home. Added Diamond Vibe cabinets and new quartz countertops to finish it off.

Our clients decided to take their childhood home down to the studs and rebuild into a contemporary three-story home filled with natural light. We were struck by the architecture of the home and eagerly agreed to provide interior design services for their kitchen, three bathrooms, and general finishes throughout. The home is bright and modern with a very controlled color palette, clean lines, warm wood tones, and variegated tiles.

Kowalske Kitchen & Bath was the remodeling contractor for this beautiful Waukesha first floor remodel. The homeowners recently purchased the home and wanted to immediately update the space. The old kitchen was outdated and closed off from the great room. The goal was to design an open-concept space for hosting family and friends. LAYOUT The first step was to remove the awkward dining room walls. This made the room feel large and open. We tucked the refrigerator into a wall of cabinets so it didn’t impose. Seating at the island and peninsula makes the kitchen very versatile. DESIGN We created an elegant entertaining space to take advantage of the lake view. The Waukesha homeowners wanted a contemporary design with neutral colors and finishes. They chose soft gray lower cabinets and white upper cabinets. We added texture with wood accents and a herringbone marble backsplash tile. The desk area features a walnut butcher block countertop. We also used walnut for the open shelving, detail on the hood and the legs on the island. CUSTOM CABINETRY Frameless custom cabinets maximize storage in this Waukesha kitchen. The upper cabinets have hidden light rail molding. Angled plug molding eliminates outlets on the backsplash. Drawers in the lower cabinets allow for excellent storage. The cooktop has a functioning top drawer with a hidden apron to hide the guts of the cooktop. The clients also asked for a home office desk area and pantry cabinet.
