This project was executed remotely in close collaboration with the client. The primary bedroom actually had an unusual dilemma in that it had too many windows, making furniture placement awkward and difficult. We converted one wall of windows into a full corner-to-corner drapery wall, creating a beautiful and soft backdrop for their bed. We also designed a little boy’s nursery to welcome their first baby boy.

Photography by Dan Piassick Taken from the nit and grit of city life along with charming and romantic elements comes Urban Glam. All the way down to the color we have shown what can be when you combine two very opposite styles into one. When creating the design we focused on a balance between the two styles with material choices and elements throughout the space. The urban style is shown in a few select pieces, first is the custom shelf that was inspired by the Chinese symbol for the phrase “To Create “. This piece has straight, heavy lines and is done in a dark concrete gray color which gives it a great urban feel. It creates space for a few worthy pieces to be placed upon it but itself is the main art piece. The phrase “To Create” can be both urban and glam. It’s urban in the way that we’ve created the city and everything in it, from the buildings to the cars that drive on the roads. However, you can create something glamorous as well, so the meaning of the shelf supports both styles. The second urban element is the wall of acid etched mirrors. They have a nitty-gritty feel to them like that have been around for a long time. The lighting element in this room is very glam, not only is the chandelier adorned with jewelry, amethyst and clear stones but the glam continues up to the ceiling around the chandelier with beautifully draped fabric. The tufted velvet headboard also screams glam in a romantic, luxurious way. Other important elements in this Urban Glam room are the beautiful glass art pieces, the matching ivory beauty desk and bedside table, and the wool and silk rug that grounds the whole space. The attached bath continues the glamourous style with upholstered walls and hand blown glass pendants in rich purples. The mirror above the sink is made from hand cut glass giving it a rough look but the pattern it is placed in a very elegant way. By combining the nitty-gritty feeling of a city and a charming, romantic air we’ve created the concept Urban Glam. Since this space is in a high-rise condominium located in a downtown area it already has the Urban environment surrounding it and by making it luxurious and romantic it will also be comfortable to live in.

The primary bedroom suite in this mountain modern home is the picture of comfort and luxury. The striking wallpaper was selected to represent the textures of a rocky mountain's layers when it is split into. The earthy colors in the wallpaper--blue grays, rusts, tans and creams--make up the restful color scheme of the room. Textural bedding and upholstery fabrics add warmth and interest. The upholstered channel-back bed is flanked with woven sisal nightstands and substantial alabaster bedside lamps. On the opposite side of the room, a velvet swivel chair and oversized artwork add additional color and warmth. The home's striking windows feature remote control privacy shades to block out light for sleeping. The stone disk chandelier repeats the alabaster element in the room and adds a finishing touch of elegance to this inviting suite.

The clients approached us to design them a more modern and organic refuge for their second home on the Texas Coast. They did not want the traditional coastal look but rather a clean look that would accentuate the amazing outdoor view. They frequently entertain and wanted a gathering space as well as functional comfortable bedrooms for their quests. The main areas were gutted and the transformation was everything they hoped for......

A dreamy New York City pied-a-terre, filled with relaxing earth tones, luxurious fabrics, and overlooking Central Park. A chic yet family-friendly vibe, where comfort and convenience are built into every detail.

Our client for this project is a financier who has a beautiful home in the suburbs but wanted a second home in NYC as he spent 2-4 nights a week in the city. He wanted an upscale pied-à-terre that was soothing, moody, textural, comfortable, and contemporary while also being family-friendly as his college-age children might use it too. The apartment is a new build in Tribeca, and our New York City design studio loved working on this contemporary project. The entryway welcomes you with dark gray, deeply textured wallpaper and statement pieces like the angular mirror and black metal table that are an ode to industrial NYC style. The open kitchen and dining are sleek and flaunt statement metal lights, while the living room features textured contemporary furniture and a stylish bar cart. The bedroom is an oasis of calm and relaxation, with the textured wallpaper playing the design focal point. Большой желтый диван, выбранный клиентом, занял место в зоне гостиной у окна. Стен не сносили, поэтому кухня осталась изолированной, и там продумали функциональное наполнение.
