New white cabinets and bookshelves flank the real wood burning fire place. Simple clean white cabinetry in the kitchen with x designs on glass cabinet doors and peninsula ends. Durable, beautiful white quartzite counter tops and yes! porcelain planked floors for durability! The girls can run in and out without worrying about the beach sand damage!. This 19th century shingle style home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean was completely restored and expanded. Elizabeth Brosnan Hourihan worked closely with the architectural staff of Carpenter & MacNeille on all aspects of the home’s interior detailing, customization and finishes. Ongoing throughout the process was the specification and procurement of fine furnishings, window treatments, rugs, lighting, artwork and accessories. Several of the furnishings were handmade in England and Italy and a number of pieces are antiques dating as far back as the 17th century and needleworks as early as 1550. There is an antique rug collection, an antique American book collection, antique silver flatware – with a signature engraving on all the pieces, antique stemware and porcelain dishes. The art collection is from renowned Cape Ann artists from the 19th and 20th centuries including Quarterly, Chaet, and Gruppe. This East Coast shingle style traditional home encapsulates many design details and state-of-the-art technology. Mingle's custom designed cabinetry is on display throughout Stonewood’s 2018 Artisan Tour home. In addition to the kitchen and baths, our beautiful built-in cabinetry enhances the master bedroom, library, office, and even the porch. The Studio M Interiors team worked closely with the client to design, furnish and accessorize spaces inspired by east coast charm. The clean, traditional white kitchen features Dura Supreme inset cabinetry with a variety of storage drawer and cabinet accessories including fully integrated refrigerator and freezer and dishwasher doors and wine refrigerator. The scullery is right off the kitchen featuring inset glass door cabinetry and stacked appliances. The master suite displays a beautiful custom wall entertainment center and the master bath features two custom matching vanities and a freestanding bathtub and walk-in steam shower. The main level laundry room has an abundance of cabinetry for storage space and two custom drying nooks as well. The outdoor space off the main level highlights NatureKast outdoor cabinetry and is the perfect gathering space to entertain and take in the outstanding views of Lake Minnetonka. The upstairs showcases two stunning ½ bath vanities, a double his/hers office, and an exquisite library. The lower level features a bar area, two ½ baths, in home movie theatre with custom seating, a reading nook with surrounding bookshelves, and custom wine cellar. 寝室のレイアウトで考えたいこと

おしゃれにしたい、かわいいファブリックを使いたい、落ち着いた雰囲気の空間にしたいなど、普段あまり人を招き入れることがないプライベートな寝室に求める機能や条件はそれぞれあることでしょう。ただ、どんなレイアウトの寝室であっても共通して言えることは、“なるべく部屋の構成要素を少なくする” ということです。寝る直前に情報が多すぎると脳が休まらず、快眠できないと言われていますが、寝室のインテリアにおいても、そういった気遣いは必要になるでしょう。カラフルすぎる、あるいは柄がやけに目に留まる壁紙や、明るすぎる電気、ごちゃごちゃとした印象の乱雑なベッドルームでは、心も身体も休まるところがありません。迷いが生じたり、要素が多くなりそうになったら、シンプル・イズ・ベストの精神に立ち帰るのが基本となりそうです。 1R（ワンルーム）マンションでもプライベートなスペースは確保しておきたいもの。寝室のレイアウトに間仕切りを用いることで人目につきにくくなります。天井の高さがある程度確保できれば、天蓋を使うという選択も部屋の印象をがらっと変える効果があります。採光も求めたいポイントのひとつ。朝の太陽の光は体をスッキリと目覚めさせる効果があると言われています。ただし、強すぎる光は暑さとの戦いになるので、遮光カーテンの導入や窓ガラスに工夫を施すといいでしょう。やわらかな陽の光を寝室全体に取り入れられるよう、設計前に業者と相談できるといいですね。

寝室の照明

寝室の照明を暗めに設定する人が多いですが、いったい何ワットがベストなのでしょうか。一説には8畳の部屋でトータル260ワット程度の明るさが適していると言われているそうで、雑誌などを広げたときに無理なく読める程度の明るさが目安です。また、照明の色によっても部屋の印象は大きく異なります。色温度が低く温かみのあるオレンジ色の電球色は一日の終わりにぴったりな心を落ち着かせる効果が。家族と共有の寝室であれば、先に寝ている人に対する配慮も必要です。寝室の模様替えの際に、リモコンやスマートフォンアプリなどで、手元で調光できるような仕組みをリクエストしておくといいでしょう。シーリングライトだけでなく、スタンド式、壁掛け式などの間接照明や、調光器をうまく組み合わせて明るさを自在に調整し、さらなる快適な部屋づくりを目指しましょう。

好きな香りを寝室に

寝室 (ベッドルーム) を真のやすらぎの空間にしたいのであれば、香りに気を使ってみるのもいいですね。ラベンダーやネロリ、スイート・オレンジの香りは、不安や緊張から心と身体をときほぐし、安眠効果をもたらします。キャンドルはうっかり消し忘れなどがあって危険なので、タイマー式や、熱源を使用しないアロマディヒューザーなどが重宝しそうです。日々のパフォーマンスに大きく影響する睡眠。快眠できない、ダルさが残るなどの不調を感じたらすぐに見なおすべき部屋が寝室 (ベッドルーム) です。
