Entertaining, relaxing and enjoying life…this spectacular pool house sits on the water’s edge, built on piers and takes full advantage of Long Island Sound views. An infinity pool with hot tub and trellis with a built in misting system to keep everyone cool and relaxed all summer long!

Project Feature in: Luxe Magazine & Luxury Living Brickell From skiing in the Swiss Alps to water sports in Key Biscayne, a relocation for a Chilean couple with three small children was a sea change. “They’re probably the most opposite places in the world,” says the husband about moving from Switzerland to Miami. The couple fell in love with a tropical modern house in Key Biscayne with architecture by Marta Zubillaga and Juan Jose Zubillaga of Zubillaga Design. The white-stucco home with horizontal planks of red cedar had them at hello due to the open interiors kept bright and airy with limestone and marble plus an abundance of windows. “The light,” the husband says, “is something we loved.” While in Miami on an overseas trip, the wife met with designer Maite Granda, whose style she had seen and liked online. For their interview, the homeowner brought along a photo book she created that essentially offered a roadmap to their family with profiles, likes, sports, and hobbies to navigate through the design. They immediately clicked, and Granda’s passion for designing children’s rooms was a value-added perk that the mother of three appreciated. “She painted a picture for me of each of the kids,” recalls Granda. “She said, ‘My boy is very creative—always building; he loves Legos. My oldest girl is very artistic— always dressing up in costumes, and she likes to sing. A 1930’s boathouse is renewed with an updated space and new pier, everything inside is new. Some new features include: NanaWalls, tall glass doors fold open completely onto a new deck, a working kitchen with an island that houses a hydraulic can swivel and move around on a whim, a sofa sleeper has double function, a TV is on a swing arm, and tables transform and combine for different needs. It’s a small space everything had to be multi-functional. Storage is a premium, a handcrafted ladder displays quilts when its not being used to access a loft space in a dropped ceiling. With nautical touches the revitalized boathouse shed is now a great place to entertain and watch the sun set on the water.

A bright and cheery lake house we recently designed! We created a cozy space for these clients using a soft sand color palette, layered with fun colors and patterns. We incorporated elements of nature through the lighting, window treatments, and fireplace for a warming effect while still promoting a vibrancy through the trendy, colorful decor. Since this home is located on a lake, we made sure to use weatherproof textiles so their look will continue to last for years to come. Home located in South Haven, Michigan. Designed by Bayberry Cottage who also serve Kalamazoo, Saugatuck, St Joseph, and Holland, Michigan.

This luxury home was designed to specific specs for our client. Every detail was meticulously planned and designed with aesthetics and functionality in mind. Includes a sprawling French door, coffered ceilings, custom paneled walls, and a TV/fireplace wall.

We designed this entertainment area to accommodate multiple activities. The design is comfortable yet upscale. Large sliding doors allow warm natural light to stream in and invite outside to enjoy the beach view.
