The existing wood siding and wood trim and much of at the existing stucco were replaced with engineered wood lap siding and shakes. The new exterior color scheme of french blue with accents of white and pale gray gives a more nautical feel to the house. The original cottage was wrapped by a deck on all four sides, most of which was not used. The new composite deck is located primarily on the south (lake) side of the house, as well as at the entry. The chalet-style railings were replaced with crisp-looking cable railings. Scalloped trim connects the posts supporting the new deck. Lowering the grade between the house and the garage placed the entry walkway at the same level as the back patio, eliminating the need to walk up a set of stairs to get from the back yard to the front.

Situated along the coastal foreshore of Inverloch surf beach, this 7.4 star energy efficient home represents a lifestyle change for our clients. ‘’The Nest’’, derived from its nestled-among-the-trees feel, is a peaceful dwelling integrated into the beautiful surrounding landscape. Inspired by the quintessential Australian landscape, we used rustic tones of natural wood, grey brickwork and deep eucalyptus in the external palette to create a symbiotic relationship between the built form and nature. The Nest is a home designed to be multi purpose and to facilitate the expansion and contraction of a family household. It integrates users with the external environment both visually and physically, to create a space fully embracive of nature.

This second-story addition to an already 'picture perfect' Naples home presented many challenges. The main tension between adding the many 'must haves' the client wanted on their second floor, but at the same time not overwhelming the first floor. Working with David Benner of Safety Harbor Builders was key in the design and construction process – keeping the critical aesthetic elements in check. The owners were very 'detail oriented' and actively involved throughout the process. The result was adding 924 sq ft to the 1,600 sq ft home, with the addition of a large Bonus/Game Room, Guest Suite, 1-1/2 Baths and Laundry. This house extension attaches to the original stone cottage, spread over two floors. The new extension is wrapped in vertical black timber cladding to differentiate from the original cottage. Top down living is provided to maximise the views out to sea from the central living spaces.

This family camp on Whidbey Island is designed with a main cabin and two small sleeping cabins. The main cabin is a one story with a loft and includes two bedrooms and a kitchen.
