Pineapple House Interior DesignPineapple House designers removed the sliding glass doors separating the master from the lanai, adding custom glassed pocket doors to the configuration. They reconfigured the master, master bath and master closet entrances and walls to bring more fresh air and light into the suite. Window treatments, both in the bedroom and on the lanai, give privacy options as they provide solar and sound control.

Changing SpacesIn this young boy’s bedroom the double bunks add an extra bed without taking up floor space.
Cheryl designed this bedroom in a colour palette of blues and lime green. Custom made paddling oars on the ceiling, a hanging chair, cute little custom made house shelving, striped wall paper below dado rails and stick on decals gives the space character.
Creating layers by repeating patterns and colours adds depth and interest.
Cheryl likes to create children’s bedrooms that are not too themed or age sensitive so that the little ones can grow into their rooms without one having to make too many changes later as they get older. Removing a few items and adding a few bits and pieces can transform this bedroom for a seven year old boy into a teenager’s room quite easily.

Costello Fine HomesWhile removing the ceiling to vault the second floor bedrooms, we discovered the beautiful patina on these fir joists. We knew we had to repurpose them. They found a new home a few feet higher and became exposed collar ties. The LED up lighting really makes the ship lap sparkle!

Sherri Fitzgerald - Ultimate DecorThis spectacular loft bedroom features a wood ceiling beam, and watercolor prints from local artist Miranda Reid!
The loft area has a sitting area that overlooks the local ocean harbor.
Behind the sliding barn door, it totes a 4 piece ensuite with a free-standing tub and glass shower enclosure. The sliding door is stained to match the wood ceiling beam and ties the room together beautifully!

Changing SpacesIn the main bedroom and main en suite Cheryl decided to keep the colour palette very neutral so as to make the sweeping views of the ocean the hero of this bedroom and en suite with its large glass doors and windows leading onto a wrap around balcony on the first floor.
Lots of very textured fabrics were used in a monochromatic scheme with pops of muted blues.
Black metal lamps sit atop the custom made bedside pedestals and gives the bedroom its ambient lighting.
A large mirror reflects back the only pop of bright colours in this space, which is a modern take of a lion in the form of an oil painting by Gerart Snyman.
Gorgeous crisp white egyptian cotton adorns the very inviting king size bed. The bed base is upholstered in the same fabric as the headboard.
A free standing bath sits next to large glass sliding doors from which one can take in the breathtaking views of the beach and the ocean.
The double shower also has views of the ocean.
Every aspect of these areas have been carefully considered to optimise the stunning views.

In this guest bedroom at our Harold Ashwell project, Cheryl chose natural fabrics in neutral tones with accents of black and white.
Two different wall papers were used, one a grass cloth and one a printed black and white landscape that is a beautiful backdrop to the headboard.
The headboard is a stunning design upholstered in a textured material with piping detail and black embroidered centre trims. The bed base is upholstered in the same material as the headboard. Gorgeous lamps adorn the custom made bedside pedestals.
Luxurious blockout lined curtains dress the windows which keeps the early morning sun out when closed.
A black and white vogue framed print, a full length mirror and a comfy leather chair adds the finishing touches to this welcoming space. Every detail was well considered and thought through.
Any visitor would love this bedroom.
