Hermine's Ideas
Mike has talked about something like this for some time. It's helpful for me to see an actual picture that I can use to think about what I want to put there, how we would use it, what storage would be necessary, how it would look. This is a good start. Our space is small and we have a door in the same place. Things to think about..
The tall cabinets, wooden knobs, everything behind doors. I couldn't live with that blue or the gothic-esque display cabinet, but much of what I like about this kitchen is the same as the earlier photo I saved. There, the wooden table and similar cabinet and drawer fronts make the room more appealing to me. This kitchen feels too contrived and uncomfortable.
I like the black color and thin muntins. Not the arch for my house, but this would make a handsome replacement for our kitchen door. Not very practical for keeping out the cold, but it would certainly let more light in than a standard kitchen door with lights on top and wood on the bottom. It would look well in our dining room, too.
This house is a fantasy in the woods, imaginative, and comfortable. I like the idea of it and the whimsical exterior design, more than the interior. The green paint choices are wonderful. Love the built-in bunk beds.
imagining the work in it/blue-green color
Iyla and I love pink.
Simple, bright space.
I love that pale shell pink. What a warm, pretty color.
Built-in pantry wall.
Maybe this would be enough.
Built-in TV. It's not that I want these exact things, certainly not everything, but it's nice to have pictures and ideas about possibilities. Dream on.
Mudroom ideas. Wouldn't it be wonderful!
The polished wood counter.
The window seat and basic layout I wanted in our upstairs bedroom when we built our house. Still, nice ideas for layout if we add on a downstairs bedroom.
Open shelves that go around the corner.
Just a storage idea.
I like the layout, all the cabinets, and the open shelves at the end of the room.
Budget Blinds Cape Cod. Matchstick blinds.
Laundry neatly separated in baskets on shelves. No piles.
Possibilities. Coffee plus storage.
Linen storage.
Entry into the pantry.
I like the sofa, a single cushion with straight ends.
The hanging rod and spaces with baskets to sort laundry.
Lightness; airiness, glass doors.
Vytlacil house at Squibnocket. Beautiful view/kitchen/window seats. I have always loved this house. Nice to see the inside, although disappointed at everything being new. It would be so special with some nice antiques. I do like the orange sofa.
Good advice and beautiful photographs of the world I wish I lived in.
