Note to John: would this work over dining table? Something totally different.....small size is 17" x 17"....mostly down lighting with a glow...days 60 w bulb. Would it work? Do YOU like it?
Backsplash?
For range wall backsplash?
Maybe over kitchen island
For our guest bath (which is small), I think it would be interesting to have the shower glassed in with some interesting floor to ceiling treatment different from the walls of the bathroom. I know that an all-small tile treatment might be really expensive.....true? I like this look from an article in Houzz today about making small bathrooms look dramatic.
The first one pictured looks ideal!
some painted paneling on an interior wall might lend to beachy feeling
Like beachy landscaping
Like grasses
prefer flat as opposed to arc bridge but note how shallow the "trench" would need to be for silent stream. Again, I am not sure this would appear too contrived.....
what if simply a trench was dug traversing back yard (north-south) over which this type of bridge was built leading to front and rear doors and silent stream underneath that winds its way over to natural drainage that appears now going from back to front yard? Look too fake or contrived?
like the ceiling!
small detail here: do rock wall at edge of "cut" in land and fill with dirt and plant, thus giving the "cut" more of a slope.
subtle silent stream
transition between lower and upper part of property?
sense of openness; like the railings
another entry possibility …..gradual elevation to front door with boardwalks (plural)
This should be our front yard, except shorter grasses
graduated board walk.....not a straight shot to front door.
fitting with the new idea of Beachy.....natural tones, wild landscaping, boardwalks.....docks (?)
Especially like curved boardwalk....to contrast with linearity of house.....in new concept ("beachy"), boardwalk from shed/carport to front and rear doors
lower front door and boardwalk to front door
Whatever landscaping we do, I would like to keep this in mid.
Like this arrangement a lot for pans and lids and proximity to stove
Wall would look good north end of upper level; color of floor good now??
See note on engineered flooring...
Like the idea of a counter for folding clothes; basin shown;
For powder room ....love the free standing bowl (stone?) and mirror on interesting wall...
another nice idea for storage of flat pans and cutting boards
looking at this, I am again leaning toward black counters and I like this stainless sink with only one basin......still contemplating the sink type
Pantry design?
Am thinking maybe black counters, birch-colored cupboards, stainless appliances.....and throughout upstairs the colors could be black, cognac, teak color, gray/charcoal....??
just like the look of simplicity.....flat panel cupboards, etc.
A good alternative to wood cabinets....what is this material/
aprons in front of two doors on lower level
