The tile is just standard black slate. We site-cut it to the size we needed. Here it is 8x24. Always looks more custom if you can cut it down to a non-standard size. Hope that helps.

I have been to every tile co. in western NY. Do you know the manufacturer of this particular tile? Is this outdoor tile that is thicker than the commercial grade, natural slate tile that is less than 1/2" thick? How thick is the tile you used? Thanks so much!!

This was at least 3/4 inches thick and inconsistent. Any natural stone is going to be thicker than 1/2". Try www.americanslate.com.
