I forget the brand of tv this is but it is made for the outdoors. It has a cover you can put in when not in use to extend the life of it. There are many more outdoor tv brands available today than when this project was done so just do your research to find what best suits your set up.

Does it attract bugs?

Good question! But I have no idea.

My guess is the tv light would attract bugs but I don’t know for sure. There are some great products out there to attract and capture bugs that don’t make that obnoxious ZAP sound to remains you that you just torched a bug that could offset the nuisance if it exists.
