Hopefully you have a reversible chaise that can be flipped from right to left. Or are you speaking of a sectional? The TV will need to go on the wall where they have the sofa. A chaise sofa can float to create a "foyer" behind it, or face the window, or be under the window. A sectional is an entirely different dilemma.

Try placing the TV/console on the wall where they have the sofa. Then get a rug, and "float" the sectional you have in front of the door. You can easily push the sectional farther into the room and add a sofa table behind it as well.
