Looking to develop a natives garden like this close to the house and want a non grass floor due to bushfire risk. Would one lay plastic underneath this stone/gravel material?
Plastic isn't recommended for placement underneath landscape rock. It impedes water flow, prevents oxygen from reaching the soil, and eventually breaks up into pieces.
