Hi Kate,

If you are wallpapering your bathroom - you don't necessarily need waterproof wallpaper, you just need to seal it with a decorating sealant (Decorators Varnish) It's great, and it means it gives you all the freedom of wallpaper designs!

I would recommend the dead flat finish as it won’t show, although I would always suggest a small test patch first, even though I have never heard of any problems. We use it even over the most expensive rolls of paper!

Well here I stand being an old dog being taught a new trick - seriously, never knew that. Excellent idea - won't be telling the wife!

Kate, I just use normal wallpaper, no treatment. The bathroom has an extract and we always open the window when in bath/ shower, never been an issue. The papers I've picked have been a vinyl finish so that I can rub down any marks.
