installing limestone floor first or cabinets first in kitchen re-mode?

we are remodeling our house and replacing the entire first floor flooring and gutting the kitchen and installing brand new cabinets. should we install the limestone floors before we install the cabinets or vice versa. We could leave it to the contractor but there appears to be mixed opinions on this. I prefer the idea of putting the floors in first. seems to me it would look cleaner.

That is a great question. If you ask the tile guy, He will most likely opt to install the tile first. It will be easier due to the lack of cuts around the cabinets. Keep in mind that if the flooring goes first, all tradesmen need to be informed that extra care needs to be addressed to prevent any damage to the new floor. As far as maintenance, if a broken or chipped tile occurs where it happens to be tucked under the cabinet, it is very difficult to replace, not impossible, but more difficult. - jason
